Thank you Hollywood and BBC Films!

As I was sitting in the movies watching "The Other Boleyn Girl" a couple of people actually gasped when Anne's head was cut off. If that was a spoiler to you... you will not understand this post! I cannot believe people's reactions... hello... it was not a surprise ending!!! It was based on history. What was the BBC going to do? Change the ending b/c Natalie Portman portrayed Anne so beautifully!! BTW- I am not saying she did... I still need to sleep on that one :)

Another new pet peeve is the screen at the end that says that the characters and all of the incidents portrayed are fictitious, and any similiarity of these fictitious characters or fictitious incidents to the name, character or history of any actual person, living or dead, is entirely coincidental and unintentional.

Hello... again, it is based on history... the characters are not fictitious, just your portrayal of them. If people actually think that is live footage from their lives... they need more help than a disclaimer :)

Oh... how I love movies :) Without them so many people (sometimes including myself) would not know British and American history.

Yes, but in all fairness to gaspers, such as myself, knowing someone's head was cut off and seeing it cut off is entirely different. We're not as desensitized to beheadings. lol which is a good thing.

Well... not to spoil the movie for all you folks who actually think you see Natalie Portman's head fly... they don't actually show that. It was more when her sister got the note from the king saying that he was not going to keep his word and Anne was going to be killed that people gasped... that is a little different... but it was good that people were that caught up in the movie, I guess :)
