Looking back over my Thanksgiving 2006... it is amazing to see how God was so in charge of the details of the day. I am not just talking about us getting the turkey, decorations, or crowd. Today I helped put on a Thanksgivin Potluck for singles and single parent families at church. It was an amazing event. One that I am blessed to have been a part of. I saw how the almost 200 people who came where given a place of comfort and welcomed to a family on a day that could have been focused on how they didn't have family. It is great to be a member of the family of God.
But I was talking about the details. Do you realize that since I was 7 years old I have spent every Thanksgivng (save one) in Hilton Head. It just happened that this year my family went to Disney World instead a month before Thanksgiving. I also have some great friends here in Southern California. They could have invited and pursuaded me to join them and their families for the holiday (one did ask), but they were away. Therefore I did not have anyone I would let down by choosing to plan and attend this event. These details which were scheduled long before any Potluck, where SO orchestrated by God to allow me to bless and be blessed this Thanksgiving in such a deep and meaningful way. Go God!!!
Now, about Christmas.... someone please invite me to their house :) Don't think I can plan another event this month and keep my sanity!!

I am praying that God would reveal His truly AWESOME plans that He has for you this Christmas. I know that whatever comes to pass, you will be just where God wants you and with whom He wants you with!
Oh Tina, you are more than welcome to spend Christams with us, in fact, I think I'll make it mandatory. I'll keep you updated as plans develop. Yeah, one more for Christmas.
