The first is Emily Gomez. She audtioned and got through to the finals for a show on BET called Sunday's best. It is an American Idol type show, but with gospel music. Emily sings often at Saddleback and is my favorite female singer of those who sing solos. She is amazing. I know she will do well in the competition... I hope she wins! When they get pics of her on the site, I will post one. :)
The other is Carlos Whittaker. I met Carlos at a Worship Conference at Saddleback when he taught a seminar on podcasting and blogs. I have kept up with him and his family virtually ever since. He has an amazing ministry through his blog. One of the highlights was watching he and his wife travel to Korea to adopt their son Losiah. He is on LA Ink tonight. He got a tattoo a while back on his arm that tells the story of the conversion of Saul on the road to Damascus. Oh... did I mention that Los is pastor? Yep leads worship. Just moved to Atlanta and Buckhead Church. I wish him and his family only the best in the ATL!
